About

Rudimental Knowledge is a publishing company that specializes in the intersection of music, mathematics, linguistics, and movement. The initial research conducted by the company is the study of motion capture analysis of music technique, IRB 2016-02-0031. This research is the basis for the publishing company in that the research backs the concepts for the current product selection. Although this research component of the business is important, many efforts have been taken to develop material for the remediation and application of mathematic and linguistic concepts.

In 2006, I performed in my first professional group called Percussion One; where I played percussion and snare drum. Shortly after graduating high school, I joined the Marine Band from 2007-2011 and played mainly snare drum, but also learned the drum set at this time. During my time at the Marine Band in New Orleans, I developed most of the musical concepts I use today. After my time in the Marine Corps , I moved to Austin in 2012 to pursue a degree in Jazz Drum Set. During my sophomore year, I transferred to the Linguistics department. After an extended time at school due to the motion capture research on music technique, I moved to New Orleans in 2019 where I desired to perform on the street. I moved back to Austin in 2021 where I finished most of the motion capture research analysis while working mostly as a math interventionist and substitute. Currently, I am enrolled in the Masters of Classical Composition program at the University of Arkansas.
